Medela Breast Pump

A customer of mine emailed me the other day, as she was interested in purchasing the Medela Swing Breast pump online. She already had the Medela Mini Electric breast pump, but did not like it.

She wanted to express breast milk in order to have extra on hand for growth spurts and so other people can feed.

I sent her a reply saying that I thought the Swing breast pump is suitable for her needs. I explained how this breast pump works a lot differently to the Mini Electric that she already had, in that it has the 2-phase expression method. It starts of pumping very fast to stimulate milk let down, and then when that happens the rhythm changes to a slower motion. This means that you can get more milk, in less time. Plus the Swing pump is much quieter than the Mini electric pumpc, and overall better to use.

Then I gave her the link to some home breastfeeding videos that I had made showing how the Mini Electric and the Swing breast pump work. and the difference in the noise.
