Amber Teething Necklaces

Grizzly baby this week. I think he has some more teeth coming through. He already has two bottom, and 1 top incisor just pokes out. He is dribbling lots, his lip kind of hangs down as if he has been at the dentists. Clinging. Not eating much. Runny poos. Not happy at all. And so many teeth still to come through.

These days heaps of baby's are wearing amber teething necklaces. I do wonder if they look silly on boys, but other people do it.

Apparently Baltic Amber has therapeutic healing properties as it is warmed and sits against the skin.

I'm going to give some teething necklaces a try, (Thanks for the idea today Helen) and shall defintely let you know!

Christmas Picks

Ages ago, when I was a teenager (no that wasnt ages ago surely... bad start to a paragraph). I used to think how cool it would be to have a summer job doing Christmas Gift Wrapping at the mall. I love wrapping presents! Well now I have my dream job! I have been wrapping gifts and sending them directly.

The top pick's for Christmas gifts have been the Hotmilk Sleepwear. I think it is easier for guys to buy the sleepwear items, as it is easier for them to purchase the right size. They just need to secretly look at the size clothing their partner is wearing, like S, M, L, XL on her tshirt and then they can get the right size maternity sleepwear on our website.

Some guys have been purchasing sexy lingerie. So they either know their partners size, (or have looked in her knicker drawer), or perhaps the women told her partner what size to get.

Anyway, only there are only a few more days left to purchase in time for Christmas. If you purchase before or on Friday, that is the last day we can guarantee that the gifts will arrive in time.

Now, what can I tell my husband I would like..... a voucher for a massage would be nice hon. I go to About Face in Mt Eden......

Relaxing Bath Salts for After Labour

A very popular product that we have at our maternity products online store is the Mother Well "Sitzzz Bath". This is a jar of bath salts which are so relaxing and calming to use, and the smell is just divine with the essential oils. Baby Carriers - Sling or Frontpack

At our Breastmates online baby products store, we have a few baby products that can help make life easier for busy parents. Such as the Nature's Sway Slings, or Frontpack style baby carriers.

Both of these baby carriers, either sling or frontpack, are a fantastic hands-free way to carry your baby. They are a good way to calm an unsettled baby. Baby Shower Gift for Under $10

This is a nifty gadget that we have on our Breastfeeding Site- its an absolute godsend for new mums who are sleep deprived and have nappy brain! One less thing to worry about.

The "Mothers Minder" is a silicone wristband, but it is designed with the numbers 1 to 12 embossed around the edge, and has a little slider thing that you slide around the wristband. (this doesn't fall off either).

So to use it, you feed baby and then slide the timer to whatever time it is. And you switch the band to your left or right wrist depending on what boob you just breastfed from. The band then reminds you what time you last fed baby, and you can keep track of feeds. It makes life a lot easier with breastfeeding a new born!

This makes an AWESOME baby shower gift!!
